We are currently looking for an Engineer - Electronic Warfare to join our Advisory Division business, based in Edinburgh SA.

The Engineer - Electronic Warfare will work closely with DST focussing on Electronic Warfare Self Protection systems, including upgrading the existing hybrid-simulation test capabilities to enable a more advanced representation of Expendable Active Decoys (EAD), additionally conduct follow-on hybrid-simulation trials that explore complex factors in the effectiveness of EADs and Towed Decoys (TD) for the self-protection of ADF airborne platforms.

 

As the Engineer - Electronic Warfare  your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Upgrading Target DST model with the required capability enhancements;
  • Verification tests to ensure the model enhancements behave as expected, and documented results.
  • Trial test matrices defining test configurations for all phases of testing;
  •  Matlab scripts for designing jamming techniques and analysing M&S and HWIL data;
  • Conducting hyrbid-simulaton trials to explore RF decoy effectiveness, using ITASE, HWIL-jammers and high-fidelity RF threat emulators;
  • Results from data analysis of M&S studies and HWIL testing;
  • Client report/s and presentation/s on all aspects of the work undertaken (test plan, test methodology, analysis, and results) 

 

To be successful in the role of Engineer - Electronic Warfare you will need to bring with you:

  • Knowledge and experience in RF EW M&S; 
  • Experience in planning, running and analysing trials/experiments; 
  • Experience in airborne EW HWIL testing; 
  • Knowledge and work experience in Matlab; 
  • Knowledge and work experience in C++; 
  • Experience with ITASE/Threat Modelling & Analysis Program (TMAP) models

 

Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance
