QTS targets are used to enable realistic weapons test and evaluation and operator training in over 40 countries worldwide with QTS providing a complete managed service in over 15 of these countries.

 

 

We are currently seeking to recruit a Production Coordinator to join our busy Production department to provide first line support to production, its functions and play a vital part in delivering all product on cost, time and quality.

 

 

The role will involve:  

  • Supporting the production team and Master Scheduler in meeting the production demands on the business.
  • Supporting the Sales, Operations and Inventory planning (SIOP) process and maintenance of the production plan.
  • Identifying and launching of works orders as required by the plan.
  • Splitting production orders and ensure all data is correctly transferred to internal departments.
  • Generating statistics, variance reports and general system maintenance and up keep.
  • Running shortage reviews with other departments to expedite and prioritise against the demand.
  • Identifying any risk associated with shortages or deliveries and escalate as appropriate.
  • Ensuring any conflict with outstanding Engineering Change Requests are reviewed and mitigated.
  • Liaise and work with the stores department / production supervisors to ensure the kitting activity is being actioned in a timely manner to also including raw material identification and launch.

 

 

 The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an exceptional communicator, team player, with a proactive hands on approach.
  • Have a depth of experience and knowledge of MRP, Bills of Material, Work Orders and Sales Orders
  • Have experience in production planning or support thereof.
  • Have practical knowledge of material planning and logistics management
  • Have a high level of competence with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools
  • Have experience of operating an ERP/MRP system within a manufacturing environment
  • Have knowledge and delivery of Continuous Improvement initiatives and adopting of LEAN principals
  • Have ISO 9001-2015 awareness and understanding
  • Have a proven track record within in a manufacturing environment, across multiple departments, for multiple years
  • Have ERP / MRP experience is essential and integration experience desirable
  • Six Sigma Green belt desirable
  • Quality Auditing experience desirable
