QinetiQ is currently offering an exciting opportunity to become a Contractor Care Coordinator. This is an amazing opportunity to come into the business from contract management, coordination, health and safety or administrative backgrounds to pursue a career within a leading global defence organisation.

 

What will I be doing?

 

  • Ensure all contractors on site are booked in advance via the Contractor Processing Form, have necessary safety measures in place, are escorted as required, receive the full contractor safety briefing, are registered on site and are working in the appropriate areas.
  • Liaise with hosts of contractors to ensure all requirements are understood and perform compliance checks against them
  • Ensure all contractors are handed over to the host and escorted where appropriate.
  • Deliver the Contractor Control safety briefing for all BCE contractors
  • Demonstrate understanding of the principles of Contractor Control
  • Uphold the site security requirements in relation to contractors as the first line of defence for security compliance.
  • Identify issues within own remit and use standard practice to resolve
  • Ensure a prompt and polite service for all contractors and visitors whist maintaining site access requirements and ensuring a positive customer experience.

  • Ability to understand and uphold security access requirements across all stakeholders
  • Excellent  interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working understanding of contractor control activity
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • An excellent team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn new skills and processes
  • A commitment to continuous improvement both personal and process
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Able to deal with challenging stakeholders in a face to face environment.

 

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience in a customer facing role, contractor control or reception environment
  • Experience in Contractor control activity
  • Demonstrable business administration experience equivalent to NVQ Level 3 

 

Desirable

  • Business admin or customer service qualification to NVQ Level 3
  • Security clearance a distinct advantage
