The Mission Rehearsal (MR) Integrated Delivery Team (IDT) are modernising and transforming QinetiQ’s capabilities across the air ranges. The Long Term Partnering Agreement (LTPA) runs until 2028 with a clear requirement to transform the Air Ranges by introducing new and modern capabilities for all our Air Ranges Customers.

You will be responsible for the safe delivery of strategically important investment projects as part of the Air Ranges Modernisation (ARM) Programme and reporting into the Programme Manager.

 

Key Accountabilities:
Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers. 
Operating in a Safe & Secure manner.  
Embedding a culture in line with QinetiQ's values. 
Delivery of the project outputs, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales). 
Ensuring project members operate in line with QinetiQ processes and Procedures,
Resolving conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the project and collaborating across QinetiQ. 
Maintenance of forecasts (both financial and resource demand signal) for sales and delivery which reflects the up-to-date expectations for the work. 
Application of governance requirements (including lifecycle, project & independent reviews as appropriate) for foundation sales and delivery work.  
Reporting progress on all accountabilities to programme manager

 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Drive and determination to achieve successful project delivery overcoming problems and issues as they arise and preferably beforehand
Track record of successful delivery of development, build and system integration of complex engineering projects
An understanding of budgeting and resource allocation
Appreciation of the development of products

Experience in leading or supporting the delivery of projects

Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to exercise good commercial judgement
Proven ability to decompose complex issues, to an appropriate level of detail, in a methodical manner
Proven ability to identify, mitigate risks and resolve issues before impact to maintain project timescales and cost
Experience of systems and software engineering disciplines and lifecycle to develop complex products.

 

Essential Education, Qualifications and Training:
Degree Qualification in a relevant subject.
