  • Rotational Stream: Targeted at graduates who are keen to allow curiosity to fuel their graduate experience, seeing them rotate through 3 different placements within our business
  • Fixed Stream: Targeted at graduates who know the niche capability in which they want to upskill. The fixed role will see the graduate stay in the same team for the entire 18-month duration


Whether you’re experiencing a diversity of work through rotating around the business, or contributing to multiple projects within your fixed team, we will provide a structured learning program to all graduates.

In our Advisory Services Division, everything starts with a problem that needs a solution. We act as an independent, technical partner for customers looking to procure defined services and develop specific capabilities. We help them diagnose, rationalise and solve intractable problems by providing analysis, advice and assurance, enabling our customers to make sound decisions about cost, time and performance.  Two of the Canberra based opportunities sit within this team.


Our MSP Division, is part of a consortium of independent, technical partners, which include Nova Systems and PwC; supported by a range of specialist SMEs.  We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s military capability.  We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).  In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and equipment through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; we relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.   By joining us you could be working on any of the following work packages; Communication Systems Branch, Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB), Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare Branch (ISREW), Aerospace Surveillance and Response Branch (ASR), Air Training and Aviation Common System Program Office (ATACSPO), Land Services Division (LSD).  One of the Canberra based opportunities sits within our MSP team.

If you join us in Melbourne, you'll alongside world-leading defence scientists in our Integrated Engineering Services division from which we offer multi-disciplinary professional engineering services supported by in-house manufacturing capabilities, to solve challenging engineering problems for our Defence Science and Technology clients.

As a Graduate Project Manager on the Rotational Stream, you will be involved in a variety of activities, including:  

  • Assisting and supporting the Project Management Office with a wide range or work, spanning the entire Project Management discipline
  • Supporting with some Commercial aspects when required
  • Using your verbal and written communication skills to liaise between project management, the project team and line management
  • Assisting with the operational aspects of ongoing projects
  • Contributing to reviewing projects as they occur, such as the project budget and schedule, and helping to prepare status reports
  • Applying your skills to understand project issues and discover potential solutions to ensure high quality work and client satisfaction
  • Collaborating with project managers, line managers and clients to solve problems and develop new ways to monitor the progress of projects


To be eligible for our 2023 Graduate Development Program you must be due to complete your university degree qualification by the end of 2022, or have completed your degree within the past 12 months, with no more than 12 months’ work experience. You also need to be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance, requiring you to be an Australian citizen.
