We are currently looking for an ICT Systems Security Engineer to join our Major Service Provider business, based in Canberra. As part of our support to Australian Government departments, your role will be to advise and support CASG throughout, either some or all, of a complete platform acquisition project life-cycle.

 

As an ICT Systems Security Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to;

  • Review and update security related project documents.
  • Review and provide comment on security related contract deliverables.
  • Assess security control implementation and design proposed by the Prime Contractor.
  • Conduct security risk analysis.
  • Oversee acceptance-testing activities relating to security.
  • Liaise with the ICT Security Branch to ensure the system will meet security requirements.
  • Participate and contribute to project meetings and security related working groups.
  • Coordinate and facilitate security related workshops; and
  • Other security related engineering activities as directed by the Project Manager and Engineering Manager.

 

To be successful in this role you will require:

  • Defence CASG acquisition experience or transferable skills from like industry experience
  • Knowledge of the CASG capability lifecycle, or industry equivalent
  • Experience in planning, development of artefacts and management of acquisition related documents
  • Project management experience within a large complex acquisition project, or program of projects
  • Working within Australian Government Departments experience or Defence Industry
  • Developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relations to influence and lead decision makers
  • Technical, commercial, industry and management experience, gained within a Defence environment

 

Applicants MUST be eligible to obtain an Australian Government security clearance.

 

Our MSP (Major Service Provider) Division, is part of a consortium of independent, technical partners, which include Nova Systems and PwC; supported by a range of specialist SMEs.  We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s military capability.  We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).  In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and equipment through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; we relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.
