Are you a solutions-focused Senior Project Support Officer with a background in Defence Simulation and Training projects? Do you enjoy adding value to complex projects and managing a diverse group of stakeholders?

 

We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Project Support Officers to join the QinetiQ Australia Advisory business, based in Canberra.

 

Our team has been selected by the Joint Capability Group’s Space Services, Training Areas and Simulation Branch (SSTASB) to be their Strategic Partner in the provision of Capability Management and Engineering services across the Capability Life Cycle for Satellite Communications, Positioning, Navigation and Timing, Defence Training Areas and Simulation, Health Knowledge Management, and Defence Records Digitisation.

 

This is a great opportunity to add value to our Simulation and Training projects in the exciting areas of space, communications and simulation solutions to our Defence customer. As a Senior Project Support Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaison and coordination with Simulation and Training Projects within Defence, between Australian Government Departments, and with Foreign Governments and Acquisition Agencies;
  • Providing subject matter expert advice on Simulation and Training projects to decision makers;
  • Development of project artefacts to support Simulation and Training program activities;
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement;
  • Project analysis responsibilities; and
  • Providing support to the SMEs within the project

 

The successful applicant

 

To be successful in the role of Simulation and Training Project Support Officer, you will require:

  • Project management, coordination and/or support experience working in Defence Simulation and Training or similar;
  • High level verbal and written communication skills;
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Defence Capability Lifecycle processes;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills; and
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1/NV2 Security Clearance.
