QinetiQ has a number of new opportunities to support the growth of the company in the delivery of capability to our clients. As such, we are currently looking for a highly experienced Test & Evaluation Engineer to join our Advisory business based in Canberra.


In this role you will be accountable for providing accurate, consistent, timely and appropriate advice in relation to Joint T&E business activities and process as well as working individually or collaboratively to develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.


The T&E Engineer will be responsible for:


  • Providing critical examination and analysis of the business processes within the Joint Capabilities Group which impact on the ability of Defence to deliver its services effectively and efficiently. This may include analysis and re-engineering of business processes and identification of organisational efficiency measures and provision of advice on human capital management issues
  • Review and Support the development of Test and Evaluation Management Plans and conduct of Trials
  • Conduct or contribute to the review of performance in relation to implementation of reform initiatives, audit recommendations, policy and process implementation and adherence
  • Effectively communicate insight derived from analysis to support decision making
  • Resolve problems using expertise, taking the initiative to identify alternative courses of action


To be successful in the role of T&E Engineer you will need to bring with you:


  • Experience in T&E Planning and the conduct and reporting of Trials
  • Ability to take the initiative to identify and solve complex problems and manage issues to support delivery of capability, including understanding of the technical, operational and logistical requirements
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to analyse, develop and implement plans to support delivery of outcomes
