About the role

We are currently recruiting for an IT Business Analyst to support business change during the full life cycle of a service, working with IT colleagues and the wider business to understand scope, requirements and needs. Which Provides traceability for IT services to ensure quality of scope and key deliverables.

 

What will I be doing?

Ensuring that the business requirements and processes of a service are documented and aligned during solution developments and production.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team of application, data and infrastructure professionals to implement Services & Solutions, including those distributed across geographical boundaries. You will also provide trusted consultation to QinetiQ and its subsidiaries, in the service development initiatives for defining or shaping business processes and functions that meet business needs and requirements.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Uses appropriate tools to describe Processes and Use Cases, to contribute to the development of systems architectures in specific business or functional areas.
  • Supports business change programmes in the preparation of scoping, cooperating with various business units to ensure End -2-End delivery of a Service or Solution.
  • Takes the time and responsibility to understand client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and understanding problems as necessary to identify, evaluate and recommends options. Collaborates with stakeholder groups in seeking to fully address needs by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately shaped to meet expectations.
  • Can articulate clearly between the Business and Process views presenting the right information for the audience.
  • Can demonstrate a knowledge of various Techniques or Technologies, and provides expert advice regarding their application.

 

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

  • Preferably Degree qualified or equivalent experience. (e.g. Business Studies)
  • At least 2+ years' experience in IT
  • Experience working with senior decision makers

  • Experience working with senior decision makers
  • Strong communication / interpersonal skills
  • Proven analytical background
  • Minimum of SC security clearance will be required, capability to achieve DV is desirable.
