• Broad understanding of modelling and simulation concepts and technologies, and ideally their applications to synthetic training environments. Understanding of related Defence standards, policy and guidance including the DMaSC Modelling and Simulation Standards Profile (DMSP).
• Sound commercial and market awareness to support development of future opportunities and alignment of solutions against practical constraints. That may include understanding of MoD acquisition and tender processes and of industry players (partners/ competitors) and their differentiators.
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence and convince others, including external partners and customers. You will be capable of scoping out and assembling high quality written documentation (e.g. delivery plans, proposals, papers and presentations).

Experience and Qualifications:
• A first degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent, nationally recognised, professional qualification backed up with a tangible track record of achievement. Holders would be expected to have fulfilled the requirements to attain full professional membership of a relevant body or similar accreditation.
• Proven experience operating in a Solution Lead or Technical Lead role including shaping and delivering solutions that require the integration of a wide range of engineering/ technical disciplines, extensive research or innovative methods.
