QinetiQ Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Protocol Officer to support our operation at our Fort Belvoir, VA location. The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Provide logistical protocol support for guests, such as high-level military personnel and distinguished individuals visiting for meetings, briefings, tours, and demo’s while ensuring coordination of all divisions key personnel, SME, and higher HQ such as CERDEC.
  • Coordinate “cradle to grave” logistical support such as securing drivers, meet greet escort at visitor center, network service support, runners, refreshments, room set up/breakdown, photographer, agenda preparation and dissemination.
  • Liaison with Army Directorate front office personnel on meeting coordination requiring protocol support
  • Maintain and track events in Protocol Calendar which captures detailed information to include type of event, location, meeting requirements and protocol ownership
  • Prepare and submit General Information Packet (GIP) to high level guests which incorporates logistical information to include, agenda, submitting clearance, obtaining visitor badges, meeting locations, directions, protocol and technical  points of contact.
  • Liaison with Security to ensure visit requests are submitted timely, Foreign Nationals are escorted, classified meetings are handled within policy.
  • Coordination of meeting/demo dry runs for preparation of high-level meeting with many moving-parts.
  • Manage and maintain of Protocol funds to purchase meeting refreshments are well stocked, inventory of apparel, retirement photos and paperweights are on hand.
  • Utilization of protocol event planning checklist when meeting with technical point of contact for initial planning meeting.  Engage Security, Network Services, SME’s during kick-off and planning sessions.
  • Preparation of costing spreadsheets, coordination of documentation such as agenda, posters, flyers, to ensure branding is within policy.
  • Facilitate presentation of visual displays such as display cases, murals and themed picture collage.

 

To land this job you need:  

 

  • 2-5 Years’ experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational/management/communication skills
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic
