QinetiQ Inc. is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to spearhead the setup, configuration, maintenance, and operation of the DevSecOps Environment and provides a technical roadmap, architecture, builds and manages our DevSecOps for Ground Combat Vehicle  (GCV) sensor systems at our Lorton, VA facility. 


Your Contribution to the Mission:


  • Initiate team discussions about Security, Code Analysis, build and release architecture design.
  • Works on complex, major or highly visible tasks in support of the project that require multiple areas of expertise.
  • Plan, architect, develop, maintain, and manage project’s infrastructure and Configuration Management system for Secure Ops Test environment.
  • Develop scripts to automate building the infrastructure, software, and deployment, create release and build numbers, tag, and branching in the configuration management system, notify engineers of build issues, and collect build metrics.
  • Maintain solution release notes and other collateral related to solution releases.
  • Gather, track, and supply all the tools that are required to develop and build a particular piece of software for reliably reproduce or maintain solution after initial customer release.
  • Continuous delivery of small incremental changes using Kubernetes, Dockers, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Understand the Secure Ops Solution and its environment to develop automation secure approach.
  • Set up the teams DevSecOps environment within the Governments mandated environment of Platform One. (



To Land This Job, You Need:


  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps.
  • Understanding of protocols/technologies like TCPIP, HTTP, SSL, LDAP, JDBC, Servlet/JSP, SQL, HTML, XML.
  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes, Dockers, Confluence, Jira is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with creating reports and metrics to assess and manage the performance, progress, speed, cybersecurity, and quality of the software development, its development teams, and ability to meet users’ needs.
  • Knowledge and experience with Agile/SCRUM and experience creating SCRUM dashboards in Jira.
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to concurrently manage multiple deadline-driven tasks and projects.
  • Familiarity with Platform One and GCIA is a plus.
