Business Performance Manager

Role Purpose

The primary role of the Business Performance Manager is the performance of business delivery in support of the Technology Solutions business. Driving to achieve accurate forecast and delivery of performance metrics including orders, revenue, cash and profit targets, customer satisfaction and delivery performance. Focus will also be on delivery and cash milestones, resourcing and people development.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Proactively identify continuous improvements in the approach and processes related to Technology Solutions financial, demand and performance forecasting, identifying inherent systematic issues and amending processes to streamline, in conjunction with the PMO and wider BPM community (to maximise consistency).
  • Support the Technology Solutions business to ensure that cost control is delivered in accordance to strategy, budget and business expectations.
  • Manage the accuracy of the Technology Solutions C4C data. Help monitor for accuracy and look for guidance from Business Leadership and Stakeholders (including BD) to update as needed.
  • Coordinate the Technology Solutions resource demand signal, ensuring inputs are captured from all business areas (projects, products, service, business winning etc) and fed into the monthly demand cycle.
  • Monitor and report to the Technology Solutions leadership team on performance metrics on a regular basis including:
    • Actual profit reporting on time and materials contracts (comparing billing values vs cost) on a monthly basis;
    • Spend against work at risk limits on a weekly basis;
    • Actual cost in month versus forecast, including % complete on a weekly basis;
    • Business Development code bookings on a monthly basis;
    • Resource demand versus actuals (also attending demand reviews and coordinating Technology Solutions response) on a monthly basis;
    • Customer satisfaction responses.
  • Identify performance improvements and corrective actions based on the business performance metrics.
  • Support ad-hoc data collection and manipulation as required by the Technology Solutions leadership team
  • Manage the Developed Vetting (DV) pipeline and secure facilities, including supporting issue resolution and managing accreditor actions related to the secure facilities.
  • Ownership of the monthly business reporting cycle within Technology Solutions, highlighting key financial and business performance to senior management and preparing inputs for business reviews as agreed.
  • Coordinate the Technology Solutions Operational Business Planning and Integrated Strategic Business Planning data inputs, engaging across the business to collate data.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Able to analyse and diagnose business problems and translate these into effective and workable solutions.
  • Ability to manipulate and distil complex data to identify actions to deliver improvements to business performance.
  • Project management background and skills.
  • Understanding of business and project finance and key performance metrics.
  • Confident and articulate with well-developed communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Core competencies will include:
  • Attention to Detail, Logical, Flexibility, Professional Image, Pro-Active, Enthusiastic, Conscientious, Customer Centric, Results Driven, Innovative, Engaging.
  • APMP or equivalent level competency base is beneficial in this role.
