About the role:


QinetiQ are looking for a Senior Relationship Manager to lead the engagement with strategic customers to help QinetiQ break into new markets, attract new clients, build new industry relationships and provide QinetiQ with a true understanding of what customers want. They will be allocated a number of QinetiQ accounts, ensuring our products deliver value to the customers and provide customers with what they were expecting.


At the front end / tech pre-sales aspect, the successful Senior Relationship Manager will support the Enterprise Cyber business to generate a pipeline of new business and develop further sales with existing clients. You will be assigned to strategic markets/clients and will lead in the explanation of services that we are able to offer, providing a more detailed technical brief than the BAU BD team.


At the back end, the Senior Relationship Manager will work with existing customers currently on contract as their technical point of contact.


What will I be doing?


  • You will manage accounts across the business, through maintaining a technical oversight and seeking opportunities to increase the accounts value.
  • The Senior Relationship Manager will identify commercial opportunities within a given market sector. Including identifying key stakeholders, completing competitor analysis and finding routes to market.
  • You will build strong working relationships with Customers that will allow sales and business development to deliver specifically for that customer and influence future sales. 
  • The Senior Relationship Manager will provide technical input and copy writing into strategic bids, relaying key customer and market intelligence to the bid team to help QinetiQ maximise our likelihood of winning.
  • You will be accountable for managing and understanding complex customer requirements.


What do I need?


  • The Senior Relationship Manager must have experience of business led consultancy with large-scale businesses at board level and below.
  • You need significant experience in leading customer engagement from a technical perspective, guiding decisions, shaping opportunities and ultimately driving a pipeline of business.
  • The Senior Relationship Manager must have technical skills with an understanding of IT/Cyber Security.
