We are currently looking for experienced Senior Commercial Consultants to join our Advisory team located in Melbourne for both current and future opportunities.


As part of our support to Australian Government departments, your role as Senior Commercial Consultant will be to guide and support them throughout either some or all of a complete project life-cycle; either in acquisition or support/sustainment phases. Embedded within the Customer’s organisation, you will be responsible for supporting commercial outcomes, implementing the necessary governance, processes, policies, and procedures to support a successful project or program delivery.


As a Senior Commercial Consultant, your responsibilities will include:


  • Acting as a trusted advisor in all things commercial and contract management.
  • Developing and executing procurement and commercial strategies.
  • Participating in approach to market activities.
  • Leading and undertaking contract management activities.

To be successful in the role you will require:


  • Demonstrated experience working in a commercial contracting environment, with experience within the defence industry or public sector environment.
  • A successful track record in developing, negotiating and managing ASDEFCON contracts (desirable)
  • Demonstrated contract administration/management experience on complex contracts including drafting and negotiating Contract Change Proposals and approval documentation
  • An Understanding of CASG Capability Lifecycle (desirable)
  • Commercial acumen coupled with an acute ability for risk mitigation
  • Effective communication skills across all levels, across both internal and external stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or Law or equivalent experience

Applicants MUST be eligible to obtain an Australian Government security clearance.
