An opportunity exists for an Electromagnetic Engineer within the E3 Team. The role is responsible for the safe and effective conduct of specific test and evaluation activities relating, but not limited to aircraft (civiland military), Land Platforms and their associated armament and electronic systems/equipment, working within project teams alongside other engineering disciplines.

E3 encompasses electromagnetic disciplines including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)/Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), the impact of High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF), the Direct and Indirect effects of Lightning Strike, the Hazards of Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) to Personnel, Ordnance and Fuel, and Electrostatic Discharge effects. The E3 test and evaluation activities would normally expect to concentrate on those electrical/electronic/armament systems and equipment considered safety critical/safety related.


The Electromagnetics Engineer will provide technical expertise in a customer facing and delivery focused environment.

As Electromagnetic Engineer, you will understand customers’ problems and contribute to innovative solutions.

Through technology watch, the Electromagnetic Engineer will build familiarity and awareness of new techniques and collaboration opportunities, and develop those with the team when applicable.

You will provide continued technical engagement with key stakeholders.


The Electromagnetic Engineer will have experience working with 59411 Defence Standards.

You need a deep understanding of fundamental electromagnetic (EM) theory.
