QinetiQ is looking to fill this position in either Ottawa or Halifax. 


Key Accountabilities, Outputs and Deliverables:
The Program Manager is responsible for managing project assignments as defined by the project sponsor
•    Leading the planning and execution of the project deliverables through multiple project phases, often overlapping.  
•    Provide project technical leadership, working closely with teams to monitor and ensure the project accomplishes all goals and deliverables, on time and budget.
•    Apply rigorous change management procedures to ensure project does not exceed the customer budget.
•    Engage with project team members and work towards shared project goals and deliverables.
•    Managing risks, opportunities, change and resolving conflicts and constraints (including prioritization calls) within the program and collaborating across other QinetiQ sites as necessary.
•    Coordinating with different QCI departments/functions to deliver the project.
•    Ensuring regular forecasts (both financial and resource related) for cost, sales and delivery are maintained which reflect the up-to-date expectations for the work.
•    Ensuring the program schedule, cost model and risk register are maintained, and that effective corrective action is undertaken with respect to variances.
•    Leverage the ERP system to assist with project sponsor and customer reporting requirements, ensuring governance with QinetiQ policies.
•    Operating in a safe & secure manner and ensuring that direct and indirect reports do likewise.
•    Leading by example in delivering a customer facing QinetiQ program that is in line with customer expectations and QinetiQ values.


Education/Work Experience Requirements: 
•    Experience leading complex engineering programs in a fast-paced environment. 
•    Leading multi-disciplined teams, including those with a high technical content
•    Stakeholder management including proven success in environments with multiple direct and indirect stakeholders.
•    Strong track record of successfully resolving competing demands.
•    Experience across all stages of project lifecycle, including project mobilization and service deliver.
•    Experience in applying different techniques appropriately to meet the need of the program.
•    Experience working with multiple contractors.
•    Project Management experience, PMP designation or global equivalent preferred
•    3+ years' experience as Project Management focusing on Government or Military delivery would be an asset.


Security Requirements:
•    Must be a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada
•    Able to obtain a Canadian Level 2 Security clearance
•    Must be able to obtain a clear criminal record check


Safety Requirements:
•    Ability to multi-task in a computer-operated environment
•    Using a computer and associated peripherals
•    Sitting for extended periods of time
•    Standing for extended periods of time in uncontrolled environments
•    Looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time


Additional potential requirements:
•    Being exposed to a variety of environmental conditions (heat, wind, rain, etc.)
•    Lift a maximum of 15 kg
•    Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
•    Other duties as assigned
