QinetiQ is seeking a Vice President of Land Systems and Survivability who will be responsible for the management, guidance and oversight of Robotics, Autonomous Systems, and Survivability solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Drive the profitable extension of the Land Systems & Survivability (LS&S) business in Technology Solutions.
- Improve the financial performance and competitiveness of the LS&S business.
- Work with BD to identify new markets and enhance our position in existing markets
- In partnership with BD, deepen strategic customer engagement. Provide a lead where appropriate in business dealings with senior external stakeholders, particularly current and potential customers.
- Improve internal and external customer satisfaction. through the effective delivery of programs to time, quality, and cost.
- Monitor, manage and report financial and operational risk in the business.
- Preparation and presentation of the annual budget.
- Develop and maintain the product road map for the LS&S portfolios.
- Lead the input of the LS&S portion of the annual ISBP process.
- Approve commercial and financial commitments, including bid pricing. Ensure decisions are made by qualified and experienced individuals at the right level within the organization.
- Manage risks, issues, and changes across the business within LS&S; in all matters of organizational structure and staffing, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, security and Group requirements.
- Provide Sr. Leadership oversight to the LS&S Program Management team to ensure successful program delivery, customer satisfaction and future growth opportunities.
- Lead by example in setting and maintaining standards of behavior, work ethic and values. Act as a QinetiQ leader first and foremost, playing a full part in the pursuit of QinetiQ Inc.’s strategy and initiatives.
- Develop and share best practice across the business. Win and retain the confidence of the senior leadership team and all staff.
- Develop and manage talent and succession planning for diverse and remote teams
To Land This Job, You Need:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in related discipline, MBA preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant P&L management.
- Demonstrated track record of success leading a business unit with at least $50M in revenues in the applicable markets
- Ability to collaborate with business development, engineering, manufacturing, and quality
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and customer satisfaction metrics
- Program management and understanding of project cost and schedule control disciplines
- Strong operational background in both a manufacturing and software development environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of the rules, regulations, and laws governing the Federal Government procurement practice as well as contract vehicles.
- Ability to analyze, assess and evaluate emerging technologies and their probability of success in the U.S. and global market.
- Strategic thinker who can lead the development of product roadmaps in collaboration with the functional groups
- Excellent organizational, management, analytic, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
- Proven performance establishing strategy, objectives and action plans.
- Experience presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.
