Your Contribution to Our Mission:

As a Maritime Systems Senior Principal Electrical Engineer you will oversee and lead the design, build, and troubleshooting of end to end electric solutions in autonomy, unmanned, and robotic systems. This includes overseeing interdisciplinary teams designing electrical sub-systems and integrating new features into current solutions. This will include frequent hands-on work in the lab building and debugging electrical systems. In this role, your tasks will range from developing small prototype designs to overseeing full integration of production systems.

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to design and implement complex automated systems
  • Support the entire component lifecycle from concept design, prototype build, and production implementation
  • Design and develop new and novel features for existing products
  • Develop schematics and layouts for PCB ground up designs and updates
  • Troubleshoot and root cause challenging electrical and systems problems
  • Mentor other engineers within the department

To Land This Job:

  • BSEE or equivalent with 10+ years of experience or MSEE or equivalent with 8+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience using schematic capture and PCB layout software
  • Experience with CAD tools used for electro-mechanical designs and BOM management
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasking prioritization
  • Experience interfacing and collaborating with customers

Additional skills of interest:

  • Any cross discipline experience such as a coding language or 3D modelling
  • Prior mentorship roles especially within an engineering setting
  • Familiarity with military design standards
