QinetiQ, Inc. is looking to hire a Systems Integration Engineer to support the integration of our current and next generation robotic systems at our Waltham, MA facility. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Work in a fast-paced environment, participating and leading engineering teams designing the next generation robotic systems for the U.S. Military.
- Assist engineers in the field with evaluating, validating, and debugging of systems
- Assist in the development of strong long-term customer relationships with current and prospective customers
- Coordinate various activities with customer’s organization such as training, implementation, and service/support
- Responsible for scheduling of routine daily operations as well as packing, shipping, and maintenance of customer equipment, spares, and supplies
- Contribute and support proposals generation for customer requests and to their requirements
- Responsible for housekeeping within work area and for compliance with corporate safety procedures
- Maintaining expendable inventories within a budget, which includes ordering and documentation
To Land This Job, You Need:
- BS Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Competence with basic lab instruments such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with bench-top prototyping and troubleshooting
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities and tasks over multiple projects, including the evaluation diagnosing and repair of systems
- Experience with using shop tools, power tools, and test equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge with LINUX and WINDOWS Operation Systems
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with DOD systems and/or prior work in the field of robotics
- Knowledge and experience with DOD, SAE, IEEE, and/or IPC standards
- Experience with of programming embedded device such as Microcontrollers
- Experience with software programming (C, C++ and/or C#)
Travel:

Travel could be upwards to 50-75% (includes both domestic and international)
- Travel required to support sales and/or field efforts related to client service or ongoing development efforts that can include meetings, demonstrations, or teaching classes
