What do our Project Controllers do?
Project Controls is a growing and increasingly recognised profession within QinetiQ, and a vital factor in delivering efficient, effective projects and programmes.
Project Control experts provide support and guidance and turn data into information for projects across the entire breadth of our business, working on internal transformative programmes, customer investment options, defence capability-enhancing initiatives and so much more.
Their expertise includes Risk, Cost Controls (Actuals against Baseline,) Planning, Reporting and more, thus enabling business performance.
Through this broad remit, we offer aspiring Project Control specialists a supported career path and wide-ranging experience supporting the delivery of a variety programmes and projects.
Are you an aspiring Project Controller?
We are looking for aspiring project controllers keen to specialise in Project Management and Controls.
The role as a Controller will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of projects and areas within the business, fulfilling both your professional curiosity and growth. QinetiQ will ensure the right level of support throughout your career by offering a range of specialised accreditations and training, which may include conference attendance and paper presentation, for example. Additionally, we provide targeted mentoring to develop specific technical skills, enabling further work opportunities.
To progress to more senior roles, you’ll need to be an active member of an appropriate professional body.
Or are you a more experienced Project Controller?
For more senior roles, we’re looking for Controls professionals with expertise in EVM, Project delivery techniques/tools and Planning and Risk.
You may have gained this knowledge through practical industry experience.
At this level, development includes specialist training and mentoring, with increased emphasis on self-development and on-the-job training.
Our continuing professional development covers all career stages and levels of seniority, including those with senior management potential.
