What do our Project, Programme and Portfolio Managers do?

Project Management is at the heart of everything we do within QinetiQ. The expertise of our Project, Programme and Portfolio Managers is essential to the successful delivery of our customer commitments and we empower them to run some of the UK’s the most critical defence and security projects. Day-to-day, as a QinetiQ Project, Programme or Portfolio Manager, you will lead diverse project teams comprising members across a wide range disciplines including technical, project management office, commercial and finance to solve our customer’s problems. As a QinetiQ Project Management professional you are accountable for ensuring the project meets its objectives and will be fully supported by experienced business leaders throughout all phases of delivery.

Varied career paths are a part of life at QinetiQ. You could specialise in a particular domain, or lead projects across the business. With increasing demand for Project, Programme and Portfolio Managers across our international business, overseas opportunities are also a possibility. Secondments and other international working arrangements may be available with our subsidiaries in Australia, the USA, Canada, several European countries and the Middle East.  

New to Project Management?
