The Role:

 

Newly created role to support the Australia Sector as we evolve and grow.

 

Reporting to the Communications Director, this role is a key member of the Communications Function and will be responsible for communications planning and execution for all campaign opportunities.

Key responsibilities will include, but will not limited to:

  • Developing and executing proactive, integrated communication strategies and plans for Australia Sector Campaign and Capture opportunities, to support growing understanding and support amongst all audiences, ensuring consistent messaging and impactful outreach across multiple channels
  • Providing strategic communications advice across all emerging issues and opportunities
  • Writing and editing high-quality content for a variety of communications channels including blogs, emails, messages, newsletters, all-hands sessions, podcasts, and more
  • Leading QinetiQ Australia Sectors presence at Tier 1 Events and Exhibitions ensuring the execution and production of high-quality events from conception through to completion
  • Collaborating with the Chief Growth Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and relevant Capture and Business Winning Excellence stakeholders, providing strategic advice and support.
  • Developing and implementing metrics to evaluate and continuously improve internal communications and engagement strategies.

In terms of location, the role can be based in Canberra, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane.

 

The ideal candidate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and/or related field
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable brand and campaign strategies
  • Thrives in environments where there is high need for collaboration and team work
  • Ability to effectively manage, and execute multiple projects; with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a company which operates across multiple countries, time zones, cultures and languages
  • Availability to travel domestically on a regular basis

 

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be eligible for Australian Defence security clearance.
