QinetiQ is a business in growth and with growth comes opportunity. We are currently looking for a suitably experienced Cost Analysis and Assurance practitioner to join our Advisory Services business, based in Adelaide.  

 

The position will see you work within a Department of Defence client, supporting the client by maintaining and updating cost models, and by providing management and analysis in support of complex business commercial arrangements. Furthermore, you will work within a team that provides functional support to the Commonwealth in the sustainment of major defence capabilities. As the Cost Analysis and Assurance Officer your key responsibilities will include:

  • Continual upgrading the client’s cost models to provide accurate and effective data to best inform Defence decision-makers and other stakeholders.
  • Measuring, analysing, interpreting, assessing and communicating on cost data provided under commercial arrangements with Defence’s Industry Partners.
  • Supporting the Cost Assurance Manager in planning, developing, processing, and presenting the Financial Plan and Sustainment Assessment Review (SAR) process on an annual basis and with monthly reviews of in year budgets.
  • Support cost management and payment activities related to the US Navy's provision of sustainment services through various Cooperative Programs, including participation in regular forums with the US Navy and biannual Performance Management Reviews.
  • Providing specialist costing advice on tenders or contracts.

 

To be successful in the role of Cost Analysis and Assurance Officer you will need to bring with you:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or a related field
  • Demonstrate experience in cost models and analysis in support of complex business commercial arrangements.
  • Demonstrate contemporary knowledge of developing and applying cost models to facilitate the achievement of business objectives.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and apply finance principles, legislation and policy
  • Demonstrated ability to draft high quality submissions for senior decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels
  • Demonstrated acute attention to detail
