We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our Engineering Services Business, based on site at DST in Edinburgh, South Australia for exciting new project work. As part of our support to our clients, your role as Project Manager will be embedded within our customer’s organisation, where you will be responsible for the project delivery in a scientific Research and Development environment. This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager with strong leadership skills and experience leading technical or research and development projects. We are looking for someone who will quickly develop/foster stakeholder relationships to deliver an exciting project for our customer.
As a Project Manager your role will include but not limited to:
- Defining scope to deliver the required R&D outcomes
- Preparing project plans and managing delivery in accordance with approved plans.
- Development of project schedules, management and tracking of performance in accordance with the project schedule
- Providing regular reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
- Identification of risks and issues and effectively managing to closure
- Managing the Commonwealth of Australia (CoA) budgets
- Coordinate stakeholders across multiple enterprises and industry
To be successful in the role of Project Manager you will require:
- Diploma or equivalent in Project Management discipline
- Senior level project management experience within a large complex project, or program of projects
- Commercial Contract Management experience ideally within Australian Government Departments
- Developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relations to influence and lead decision makers
- Technical, commercial, industry and management experience, gained within a Defence environment
