About the role

 

We are currently recruiting a Quality Technician to join QinetiQ Target Systems (QTS), within our Business Delivery Team. QTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of QinetiQ Group PLC, specialising in the design and manufacture of a range of state-of-the-art Unmanned Aerial and Surface Target systems, including the world-leading Banshee target.

 

QTS targets are used to enable realistic weapons test and evaluation and operator training in over 40 countries worldwide, with QTS providing a complete managed service in over 15 of these countries.

What will I be doing?

 

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Quality team. Dealing with final inspection, internal and supplier non-conformances.

 

Duties will include:

 

  • Conduct examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, and components on all types of standard and special products, to insure alignment with product requirements and quality standards.
  • Provide details analysis, troubleshooting and evaluation of components, assemblies and systems.
  • Maintain documentation records and data on tests performed.
  • Recommend quality control solutions to complex problems and implement corrective actions.
  • Performs internal audits based on established criteria and record the results.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.
  • Lead investigations into non-conformance both with suppliers and internally

 

What do I need?

You will have vocational training in Quality Control Inspections on products, materials, components and parts on all types of standard and special products and some relevant experience.

 

We also ask that you:

 

  • have the ability to independently resolve standard assignments
  • have experience with blueprints, drawings and parts lists
  • are a team player
  • have proficient computer skills
  • have electronic experience (PCD’s Harnesses)
