Job title: Operations Performance Coordinator
Location: Farnborough/Boscombe
Role Purpose:
To assist with the delivery of transformational change within UK Defence Operations; managing the risks and issues to deliver the programme change benefits.
What i'll be doing:
- Development and maintenance of positive engagement with UK Defence and UK Intelligence Operations teams and key stakeholders.
- Facilititing the embedding operational change improvement programmes
- Investigate best practise across Operations and work with teams to ensure a consistency in management and delivery approach.
- Embedding a culture in line with the QinetiQ values.
- Improving QinetiQ’s change management approach through collaboration across QinetiQ’s businesses & functions.
- Creation & maintenance of appropriate Change Management Plans, and reporting progress on all accountabilities to Head of Operations Performance (or their delegate).
What i'll need to know:
- Skills to influence and align others towards Operations common purpose, and to empower & inspire people to achieve success.
- Able to demonstrate high personal standards of integrity – being able to withstand pressure from others, knowing “what is the right thing to do”, being ethically robust and resilient to criticism.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with people at all levels, both internal and external to QinetiQ, including customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Strong diplomacy and negotiation skills with ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Results-focussed with ability to accept high levels of responsibility and accountability.
- Ability to develop and enact a structured approach to organisational change in support of QinetiQ’s vision, enrolling the impacted people to embrace the changes required to deliver the desired benefits.
- Ability to identify, plan, agree and realise tangible and intangible benefits from the activities conducted within Operations.
- Stakeholder Management; being able to identify, plan and implement actions to positively engage parties with an interest in, or influence over, the Programme change outcomes
- Ability to create an environment where a group of people with diverse personalities, skills, experiences and perspectives are empowered to collaborate towards a common goal.
- Skill to identify and address differences of objective, attitude or perception in order to produce an agreed outcome for all parties.
- Strategy - Support strategic business change by developing approaches which enable benefit led management decisions.
- Knowledge of QinetiQ’s Operating Framework, Policies and Procedures.
- Knowledge of multiple site operations, its key staff and key facilities.
Experience & Qualifications
- Desirable experience of working within Projects
- Successfully assisting change management
- Delivering behavioural change required to support the benefits realisation.
- NEBOSH / IOSH Managing safely is desirable
- ITIL qualification desirable
- Experience of process/continuous improvement activities.
