Senior Principal Project Controller

The role is responsible for the delivery of project controls within an assigned team, under the leadership of a Project or Programme Manager or PCP&R Functional Lead. The role is to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and consistency is developed across the business that promotes the work of the function. They are required to act as a leader within this function and in collaboration and support of the business.


Key Accountabilities Supervision and leadership of the Project Controls team for which the role is responsible. The Controls function will align with IDT, Programme and Business Strategy, the role will also have a collaboration requirement with all other Group and PMO functions and services.


Responsibilities include: -

Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project and programme managers and other key delivery partners

- Operating in an open and visible manner to achieve positive outcomes.

- Embedding a culture in line with the QinetiQ values.

- Delivery of the project controls outputs, to agreed standards in support of customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales.

- Ensuring project controls team members operate in line with the Operating Framework & functional competency requirements.

– Maintenance of all appropriate reporting needs in support of project and programme delivery.

- Application of governance requirements in support of the delivery business (including lifecycle, project & independent reviews).
