The Role


As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the configuration management and administration functions within one of our core IT product teams.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with our IT teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with standards.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain the Configuration Management process, ensuring that all policy and process documentations is maintained under configuration management, reflecting industry best practice

  • Conducting regular reviews of the Configuration Management process including planning and managing improvements to Configuration Management plans, policies, procedures and management tools

  • Monitoring the effectiveness of Configuration Management utilising Key Performance Indicators and implementing recommendations for improvement as part of continual improvement activities

 

Essential experience of the Configuration Manager:

  • Demonstratable experience within IT Configuration Management with a strong understanding of configuration management principles

  • Proficiency with configuration management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Bristol site. Hybrid working patterns are available.
