The Role
As a Project Manager in our UK Defence function you will be the figure head and focal point for projects, leading mutli-discplinary teams to ensure successful achievement of internal and customer objectives

 

Day to day, you’ll drive delivery against time, cost, and quality targets, lead planning and bids, manage stakeholders and data, build strong relationships, and proactively steer performance, risks, and outcomes to success.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Development of clear and compelling customer proposals
  • Manage all stakeholders & supporting functions to ensure that the system data is updated regularly to report the latest expectations for the work 
  • Be the champion for what you are delivering, by providing project briefs to management / business development and attending coordination meetings to demonstrate synergies between ongoing projects and higher level ‘campaigns
  • Establish and grow strong & trusted relationships with customers, partners and suppliers.
  • Ensure all activities across project delivery are conducted in line with the Operating Framework 

 

Essential experience of the Project Manager: 

  • Track record of successful delivery of projects and programmes to defined cost, timescale and budget
  • Experience of framework management or delivering projects within a commercial framework mechanism (e.g. Engineering Delivery Partnership – EDP)
  • First-hand experience of acquisition processes
  • Experience delivering projects to 3 different customers
  • Understanding of SAP
  • Experience of AGILE PM

 

Essential qualifications for the Project Manager:

  • Industry recognised qualification such as Prince2, AMP, PMP

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough, Bristol or Hurn site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
