The Role

The Systems Manager will direct and co-ordinate the implementation and delivery of the Global Digital System Engineering Delivery Capability required to modernise engineering delivery and optimise productivity across the QinetiQ Group. In addition, the role will support continuous improvement activities within the Technical Excellence Directorate. The role will act within the Technical Excellence team, which serves the Global Technical and Operational Excellence Function for the Global Campaigns and the associated engineering disciplines and domains.

 

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Deliver a Global Digital System Engineering Delivery Environment in order to modernise engineering delivery, workflows and subsequently optimise productivity
  • Achieve consensus on the user and system level requirement across a global stakeholder community
  • Use the large software vendor and Enterprise Architecture communities to build and trial a prototype Digital System Engineering Delivery Environment in order to demonstrate the value and subsequent investment decision
  • Use the prototype to demonstrate improvements in existing workflows
  • Use evidence from demonstrations to achieve investment funding for the implementation and delivery of the Global System Engineering Delivery Environment

 

In this role, you will be able to work remotely or from any QinetiQ site.

 

Essential experience of the Systems Manager:

  • You must have significant experience in Model Based Systems Engineering
  • The Systems Manager should also have experience in a Leadership role.
