About the role


We currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Major Services Provider (MSP) team, based in Adelaide

In the role of Project Manager, you will provide project management expertise to develop, maintain and execute the customer’s strategies and plans. You will manage and coordinate stakeholder working groups, planning activities and workshops to ensure the objectives of the program are achieved.

As Project Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Completing the acquisition of the capability in accordance with the approve Sustainment Procurement Strategy.
  • Leading the team through the development of the ASDEFCON contract.
  • Undertaking evaluation of the Request For Tender (RFT).
  • Developing documentation required for delegate approval of the contract.
  • Providing leadership to the project team to achieve outcomes in an effective manner.


To be successful in the role of Project Manager you will need to bring with you:

  • Extensive project management experience within a large complex acquisition project, or program of projects.
  • ASDEFCON experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relations to influence and lead decision makers.
  • A wealth of technical, commercial, industry and management experience, gained within a Defence environment. 


Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

About the team


Our MSP (Major Service Provider) Division, is part of a consortium of independent, technical partners, which include Nova Systems and PwC; supported by a range of specialist SMEs.  We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s military capability.  We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).  In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and equipment through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; we relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.
