We are currently looking for Learning System Developer to join our Advisory Division based in Canberra 


QinetiQ has a number of new opportunities to support the growth of the company in the delivery of capability to our clients. As such, we are currently looking for experienced Training Needs Analysts & Developers to join our Advisory business, based in Canberra. 


As part of our support to Australian Government departments, your role as the Learning System Developer will be to support successful delivery of the program of work, comprising both services and deliverables for an ongoing business transformation program. 

Embedded within the Customer’s organisation, you will be responsible for supporting the business outcomes with training analysis and development, implementing the necessary governance, processes, policies, and procedures to support a successful program delivery. 


As the Learning System Developer your responsibilities will include:


  • Developing and maintaining a Learning and Development (L&D) Strategy and Implementation Plan to support RAAF’s ERP transition

  • Developing and maintaining the ERP L&D framework, policy, procedures and guidelines, as required

  • Developing and maintaining close working relationships to consult with key ERP stakeholders and ensure RAAF’s planned ERP L&D outcomes

  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of current and future ERP skills and competencies required by RAAF

  • Developing and maintaining an ERP technical skills matrix/ training needs register matching skills needs to RAAF’s requirements

  • Supporting the delivery of the ERP capability in accordance with the approved Strategy and Implementation Plan/s

  • Administering ERP L&D analysis and development documents in corporate document management systems

  • Conducting business continuity impact analysis, readiness analysis and assessments, reports and presentations


To be successful in the role of Learning System Analysts & Developers you will require:


  • Certification and/or qualifications in training needs analysis and development

  • Training needs analysis and development  experience within large and/or complex ITC projects, and/or programs

  • Familiarity with the Department of Defence training environment

  • Developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relations to influence and lead decision makers

  • Technical, commercial, industry and/or management experience gained within a Defence environment

  • To be successful in the role of the Learning System Developer it would be desirable to have experience with:

  • Change management

  • ICT systems implementation


Applicants MUST hold or have recently held and NV1 Australian Government security clearance.
