Due to substantial growth of the QinetiQ business, QinetiQ is evolving to provide the technology and IT services that will underpin QinetiQ’s future global strategy and ambitions. We are now accepting applications for an Oracle ERP Project Manager to lead and manage the implementation of Oracle’s Cloud ERP solution for QinetiQ. Ideally, this position will be based in Canberra but other capital cities will be considered for the right candidate.
Reporting to the Business Systems Finance Programme Director the Oracle ERP Project Manager will provide effective leadership in managing, influencing and guiding the implementation of Oracle’s Cloud ERP solution across QinetiQ’s global operations including Australia, UK, Canada and Germany. This role is critical to the success of the Oracle Cloud ERP project.
As the Oracle ERP Project Manager you will be accountable for:
- Effectively managing assigned projects through all areas of the project lifecycle from scoping, analysis, design, through to delivery and handover;
- Effective project resource planning including their development and maintenance;
- Effective management and reporting of project financial performance;
- Producing project reports for governance groups, management and other stakeholders as required, including budget, scheduling and resource forecasts and utilisation;
- Ensuring project interdependencies are agreed, managed and delivered between the projects, business areas and external vendors, resolving technical and/or resource contention;
- Providing leadership for project team members and stakeholders as well as mentoring and guiding;
- In partnership with key stakeholders and business representatives, ensure effective business change management of assigned projects;
- Managing risks, opportunities and issues of assigned projects; and
- Liaising and maintaining working relationships with key staff, projects and third party partners to drive solution outcomes.
As a suitably experienced and well-rounded ERP/PM professional, the Oracle ERP Project Manager will need to bring with them:
- Extensive experience of project managing the implementation of Oracle ERP Cloud platforms;
- Prior business transformation and Oracle implementation experience with at least one end to end implementation of Oracle ERP using global delivery model;
- Strong understanding of business and market dynamics, financial practices and supportive technology advancements in Oracle ERP cloud and other products;
- Solid experience in a similar project management role with a certification in one or more project management disciplines such as PRINCE2 and PMBOK;
- Demonstrated and proven understanding and implementation of project lifecycles and project controls;
- Extensive industry domain knowledge in financials, manufacturing and defence;
- Effective leadership and motivational skills, including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organisations;
- Very good interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills with extensive experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders and customers to influence and achieve optimal business outcomes; and
- Highly developed communication and engagement skills, with the ability to deal with people at all levels of an organisation including liaising with a wide range of diverse IT & business stakeholders.
Candidates will need to be eligible to obtain a Baseline Australian Government Security Clearance.
