We are currently looking for experienced Project Managers to join our Major Service Provider team, based in Canberra.

 

As part of our support to our clients, your role as Project Manager will be to assist CASG throughout the acquisition project life-cycle. Embedded within our Customer’s organisation, you will be responsible for supporting the business and project outcomes, implementing the necessary governance, processes, policies, and procedures to support a successful project or program delivery for the end-user.
 

As a Project Manager your responsibilities may include:

  • Managing elements of the acquisition of the capability in accordance with the approved Procurement Strategy
  • Supporting the team through the development and execution of ASDEFCON Contracts
  • Supporting the delivery of project outcomes, working closely with Engineering, ILS and Project support teams
  • Drafting and reviewing of project management documentation, reports and briefs
  • Reporting progress against project schedules
  • Engagement with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing and distributing project, financial and resource reports

 

To be successful in the role of Project Manager you will require:

  • Diploma or equivalent in Project Management discipline
  • Project management experience within a large complex acquisition project, or program of projects, or project of similar scale.
  • ASDEFCON or Government Contract Management experience within Australian Government Departments, of Defence industry.
  • Developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in building and maintaining stakeholder relations to influence and lead decision makers
  • Technical, commercial, industry and management experience, gained within a Defence environment or similar industry

 

Applicants MUST be eligible to obtain an Australian Government security clearance.

 

Our MSP (Major Service Provider) Program, is part of a consortium of independent, technical partners, which include Nova Systems and PwC. We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s capability. We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group. In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan and execute the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and military platforms and equipment. This is achieved through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; QinetiQ relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.
