The Role

As a Senior Engineer Radar Cross Section Trials Lead, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will support in leading the radar signature measurement trials to help improve platform protection against radar threats through signature management and use of radar countermeasures as part of the T3E contract that QinetiQ holds with the MoD.

 

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Deploy as a member of the trial delivery team and where required support in team leadership
  • Support in all aspects of trial planning from safety, security, logistics and technical
  • Provide technical expertise input to investment and customer projects
  • Participate in the effective and efficient operation of the RCS facility, proactively working to implement process improvements when identified
  • Comply with all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements at a particular trials site by working in accordance with the Trials Risk Assessment, the Site Health, Safety and Environmental Plan, and the Site Security Plan


This role is full-time, 37 hours per week based at our Funtington site, with hybrid working available.

 

Essential experience of the Senior Engineer Radar Cross Section Trials Lead:

  • Radar Systems
  • Radar Cross Section (RCS)
  • RF Test and Measurement
  • Front-end RF/MW Sub- Systems, Antennas
  • Electromagnetism
  • Digital Signal Processing DSP
  • MATLAB
  • Radio Communications
     

Qualifications for the Senior Engineer Radar Cross Section Trials Lead:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering or in a related field
  • Full UK driving license
