Role Purpose:
The Billing Specialist role sits within the Enterprise Services team.
As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible to oversee the billing processes ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving improvements in billing efficiency and effectiveness. Your expertise will be instrumental in optimizing billing procedures and enhancing customer satisfaction through timely and precise invoicing.
The Billing Specialist role:
Including but not limited to:
- Invoice management including ensuring daily billing activities are completed accurately and timely. Prepare client invoices and distribute to clients on time via various method, such as email or customer portals
- Process client bills in the company’s billing software and reconcile billings with the AR ledger and customer statements to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Project Services support including setting up project and finan
- Account maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client accounts and billingscial milestone billing into the operating system
- Data analysis: Analyse billing and invoice data for accuracy and completeness
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare reports on billing activity
- Compliance: Ensure all billing processes comply with company and tax policies and regulations and review them for accuracy
- Handle escalated queries with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies promptly
- Customer relations: Respond to client inquiries/questions in a timely manner and escalate issues as needed to Team Lead, Project Managers as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Collection team and other finance colleagues and work closely with Project Management community to facilitate smooth billing processes and enhance service delivery
- Support the Finance team with ad hoc tasks as required including recommend process improvement for problem resolution to management and assisting in internal and external audit as needed.

- Resolution/Escalation of Queries – To resolve a wide range of standard queries and support the resolution of more complex issues with guidance from Service Lead as required

Continuous Improvement - To identify and lead continuous improvement activities relevant to processes within their role - Resilience -To be responsible for maintaining and developing the capability and competency of their team so that customer demands are met in order to ensure resilience
- Professional Development – To mature awareness of the latest wider industry best practises and a personal commitment to professional/ technical development
- Team Performance – To coordinate and engage with others in order to set goals and priorities, ensuring the delivery of service in line with business requirements
Key Capabilities/Knowledge:

Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in billing or a similar role
- Strong understanding in area of billing and experience of working with numerical data and processing financial information
- Experience in billing and ERP software (Oracle and SAP) and proficient in Microsoft Office tools
