The Role
As a Change Lead - PMO, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary and your primary focus will be on minimizing resistance, maximizing engagement, driving positive outcomes through effective change management strategies and capabilities, and skilful use of available and emerging change tools and methodologies. You will report to the Head of PMO and be responsible for the delivery of the overall Change Portfolio for UK Defence, in collaboration with Sector Leader Sponsors and the Head of PMO.
 
Day-to-day, you will:

  • Provide the leadership, and management of the UK Sector Change Portfolio, ensuring capacity is aligned to the strategic priorities. 
  • Delivery of individual business cases, and the execution of projects and programmes to time, cost and quality.
  • Development and maintenance of positive engagement with key stakeholders at senior leadership level, and effective communication to the broader business teams.
  • Ensuring programme members operate in line with the Business Management System & functional competency management requirements; and have appropriate personal objectives recorded in the QinetiQ performance management system.
  • Resolving conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the portfolio and collaborating across QinetiQ.
  • Leading the embedding of improvement in the QinetiQ project and programme management function, as agreed with Head of PMO and the Programme Excellence team.

 
This role is a full-time position based at one of our main sites, hybrid working with 2 days of travel to other sites per week.
 
Essential experience of the Change Lead - PMO:

  • Demonstrable capability to International Project Management Association Level A
  • Significant experience leading a business, projects, programmes, portfolios or P3 function; successful delivery of complex programmes
  • Experience leading transformation change programmes

 

Qualifications for the Change Lead - PMO:

  • MSP Practitioner qualification
  • MoP Practitioner qualification is desirable
