QinetiQ is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Wellbeing to champion our commitment to holistic health and vitality across the organisation, driving forward our growth strategy through a thriving workforce.

 

The Role 
In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Group Employee Experience Director and be responsible for implementing and continuously enhancing a comprehensive wellbeing strategy. You will lead the development and delivery of global processes, systems, and initiatives that protect the health of our people, support physical and mental wellbeing, and create work environments where our diverse employees can truly thrive.

 

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Maintain and continually improve a comprehensive Wellbeing Strategy. 
  • Establish a clear plan to deliver the strategy ensuring a cohesive approach through the coordination of global initiatives.
  • Develop and refine fit-for-purpose programmes and initiatives covering all dimensions of health and wellbeing.
  • Partner closely with Safety colleagues in relation to all identified areas of risk and collaborate with business leaders, functional leaders, and external partners to align wellbeing efforts and ensure engagement and commitment.
  • Provide regular reports on budget utilisation and programme effectiveness to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Establish and manage a Global Wellbeing Steering Committee and provide regular updates on wellbeing initiatives to key stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing strategic guidance and direction to position the organisation as a leader in employee wellbeing and people experience.

 

This role is full-time, 37 hours per week, you will ideally be based within an hour of one of our key hubs of Farnborough, Bristol, Portsmouth or Malvern. There may be travel required to Farnborough, our Headquarters for adhoc meetings.
 
Experience of the Head of Wellbeing

  • Significant experience developing, implementing, promoting and evaluating a contemporary wellbeing programme and strategy for a large complex organisation.
  • Experience in working for a highly regulated industry, where you have had to navigate complex and dynamic regulatory environments in order to operate legally and successful. 
  • Proven track-record of working successfully with a range of partners at a strategic and operational level.

 

Qualifications of the Head of Wellbeing

  • Allied health qualifications in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiologists Nursing or other health disciplines.
  • Chartered or working towards chartered status of a relevant professional body.
  • Relevant training in employee wellbeing such as Mental Health First Aid and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
