The Role
As an IT Enterprise Architect, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary providing support and subject matter expertise to the IT services function with a strong focus on Data, owning the technology roadmap within this area.
Day-to-day, you will:
- Define and articulate complex strategies through a TOGAF based framework owning the technology roadmap within your domain
- Identify and develop methods and procedures to improve security and data privacy within the remit of the deliverable portfolio of solutions
- Act as a primary source of knowledge and expertise for other areas of IT services and providing technical leadership within your specialism
- Work directly with the business ensuring needs are documented, understood and developing initiatives for defining or shaping business processes
- Act as a team player in a multi-disciplinary team of application, data and infrastructure professionals to implement strategies
This role is a full-time position based at either our Malvern, Farnborough, Portsmouth, Boscombe Down or Bristol site with Hybrid/Flexible working.
Essential experience of the IT Enterprise Architect:
- Extensive experience of working within an enterprise level IT environment with the ability to define strategies, provide business engagement, supplier engagement, building block methodology and roadmaps
- Experience with Data governance or Data Modelling and a focused understanding of Architecture frameworks
- A strong understanding of Data lifecycle management with a strong knowledge of industry best practices in both cloud-based and on-premises solutions
- Previous experience acting as a trusted advisor on data technologies to senior stakeholders and articulating strategies up to CxO level
Qualifications for the IT Enterprise Architect:
- A Technical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent field) or relevant technical experience
- Domain level certification such as TOGAF, DODAF, CCDP / CCIE, MCSE, OSCP, LPIC, Archimate or equivalent evidence of knowledge and capabilities
