Role Purpose:
To learn and provide support for QinetiQ’s Corporate virtual hosting platform.
Working as part of a team, carry out maintenance activities to ensure systems are continually patched, updated and running efficiently. Providing support to customer requests and incidents.
This role is primarily based at our Farnborough site, but working remotely and in other QinetiQ locations will be required as resource requirements dictate.
Key Accountabilties:
- Learn and support the hosting platforms used at the corporate level in QinetiQ UK.
- Fault diagnosis/fix of corporate hosting platforms.
- Ensuring scheduled system tasks and automation is operating as required
- Managing systems to ensure they remain on the latest product vendor versions
- Working collaboratively with team members of other technologies to fully diagnose complex problems.
- Effective working relationships with wider IT teams and internal customers
- Ensuring compliance with QinetiQ policies, procedures and work instructions
- Take ownership and accountability of customer requests.
- Understanding the security and operational impacts of work being completed and following the correct processes to minimise risk
- Log, update and manage all calls via the IT call logging system.
- Health and Safety of team and self.
- To undertake other duties as directed by the Team Lead.
- To undertake a Level 3 Aprprenticeship as part of your role.

Experience and Qualifications:
- You must have attained or be predicted, GCSE A*-C, 5-9 in Math, English Language, IT and 2 other subjects
- Desirable to obtain a full driving licence.
