Role Purpose:
This role takes the lead in delivering the annual performance and reward processes for the QinetiQ group, which includes individual performance management (goal setting, continuous feedback, performance evaluation, and rating calibration) as well as the annual salary review and the annual incentive cycles.
The role coordinates the support of other members of the reward team, the HR Technology team and the wider People function to deliver these activities.
In addition, the role supports our Australia business as a Reward Partner, liaising with Australia based HR leaders on grading, benchmarking, salary progression and support for senior hires/exits. Delivery of this part of the role will require 1 – 2x trips to Australia per year along with occasional working outside of UK core hours to support the Australia team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead execution of Group Annual Salary Review and Annual Incentive Cycle (ABP, BDIS, AEIS) to agree design principles, deliver structures, process guidelines, system requirements and payment matrices.
- Be the Global process owner for the reward module in Success Factors. Lead on reward cycle improvements including enabling technology-based solutions (through Success Factors), improving quality/ eradicating the opportunity for errors, process reviews and improving engagement.
- Be the Global process owner for the Individual Performance management module in Success Factors. Lead on the annual performance management cycle, supporting BF HR with training and tools to deliver goal setting, continuous feedback and performance calibration processes.
- Support the Group Reward Director and Head of Reward in the implementation of Group-wide reward projects
- Reward Partnering support for Australia business
Key Capabilities/Knowledge:
- Strong business partnering and consultancy skills.
- Experience in developing individual performance management systems.
- Expertise in the SuccessFactors Performance and Goals module is an advantage
- Reward domain expertise with UK experience. Expertise of the Australia reward market is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules
- Skills in data analysis, interpretation and insight generation with intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
- Proven ability to lead or support numerous projects with tight deliverables and high customer expectations.
Experience & Qualifications:
- HR professional with demonstrated performance and reward expertise. Reward certification (WorldatWork, CIPD) an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to influence through collaborative behaviours.
- HR qualifications and/or numerically focussed degree (mathematics, business, engineering) or equivalent experience
