The Role
As a Reporting & Performance Lead, you will play a critical role in helping QinetiQ and our customer understand programme performance, identify emerging risks and opportunities, and make informed business decisions.

Day-to-day, you'll work with operational and financial data to develop reporting, analyse performance trends and provide meaningful insight to a wide range of stakeholders. This role is about more than producing reports; we're looking for someone who can understand what the data is telling us, identify the drivers behind the numbers and help shape actions that improve business performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing and delivering monthly, quarterly and annual performance reports to internal and customer stakeholders
• Developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and management information reporting
• Interpreting operational and financial performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
• Building relationships with stakeholders across multiple sites to understand the context behind reported performance
• Challenging assumptions, validating performance drivers and providing recommendations to support decision making
• Driving continuous improvement in reporting, insight generation and performance management

Essential experience of the Reporting & Performance Lead: 

• Experience producing and presenting management information, KPI reporting and performance insight
• Ability to interpret complex operational and financial data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Experience building strong relationships with stakeholders and influencing business decisions through data-driven insight
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify underlying causes, trends and risks
• Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large and complex datasets

Essential qualifications for the Reporting & Performance Lead:

• Demonstrable professional experience in data analysis, reporting, management information or financial analysis
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Boscombe or Farnborough site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.

Boscombe Down

MOD Boscombe Down is a unique operational site featuring the longest military runway in the UK. Primarily focusing on providing testing, evaluation and support services for aviation and aerospace systems. Renowned for its extensive flight-testing capabilities the site plays a vital role in the UK’s aviation defence contributing to the development, testing and airworthiness of military aircraft enhancing operational readiness and effectiveness.

Farnborough

At our Farnborough site exciting work takes place at our state-of-the-art facility, with high-energy laser technologies, our 5m pressurised wind tunnel which has a simulation capability that is unique in the UK and our large research and development projects is a real hub of creativity, research and innovation.
