The Role

As a Senior Group FP&A Analyst, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for providing financial analysis, insight and general support to the Group FP&A Function. You would work closely with all of QinetiQ’s Group sectors and functions to play an important role in monthly reporting and analysis, as well as financial planning and assisting with the generation of the published annual and interim accounts.

 

Day-to-day you will:

  • Own the Group’s monthly LBE process (including any template updates), ensuring submissions are received on time, checked, loaded into Hyperion and accurately reported through the Operational Dashboard, alongside assisting the sectors/functions where necessary
  • Assist the Group Head of FP&A with preparation of monthly analysis reports on key variances, business drivers and insights, risks and opportunities (with associated commentary)
  • Support the Group Head of FP&A in delivering all financial aspects of the annual budget process and five-year strategic planning exercise (e.g. information gathering, submission co-ordination, consolidation checks)
  • Completion of audit schedules and validation of company statements for the published annual and interim accounts
  • Assist the Group Finance team and other key stakeholders (CFO, Strategy team, other group functions) with ad-hoc analysis, financial modelling and decision support activities as and when required

This role is full-time, 37 hours per week based out of our Farnborough office with adaptive working options.

 

Essential experience of the Senior Group FP&A Analyst:

  • Strong level of accounting experience with particular exposure to forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning
  • Advanced knowledge of excel and financial modelling capability
  • Experience of Oracle Hyperion/EPM

 

Qualifications for the Senior Group FP&A Analyst:

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or expecting to qualify within the next 6 months
