We are currently seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Consultant to join our (Major Service Provider) MSP division in Melbourne.
About the Role
QinetiQ is one of only four Major Service Providers (MSP) to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) within the Australian Department of Defence. We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s military capability by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across CASG.
As a result, we have a number of permanent opportunities for people to work as Integrated Logistics Support Consultants in Melbourne, supporting a variety of projects that sit across our Defence Programs.
We are particularly keen to talk to you, if you have experience in the following
- Procurement and contracting
- Inventory/Asset management
- Support System Analysis of Acquisition Projects
- Spares analysis and management
- Obsolescence Management
- Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Level of Repair Analysis (LORA)
- Support and Test Equipment analysis
- Technical Advisors
- Performance Needs Analysis and Training design
As ILS consultant you will work within a multidisciplinary team as a valued member of the QinetiQ Operations and Delivery team, focused on the delivery of exceptional customer outcomes and support across aspects of ILS to assist acquisition/integration of new capability into CASG.
For those new to the Defence sector, our unique in-house training program and ongoing support from our Principle ILS Consultants, will provide you with accelerated learning and enable you to quickly integrate into one of the most exciting and dynamic areas of Defence.
To be successful for the role of ILS Consultant you will need:
- Previous ILS experience working within Defence projects, Defence platform sustainment, or similar industry acquisition.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and optimisation
- Experience in Defence contracting using ASDEFCON principles
- Understanding of Support System Support resources and requirements
- Understanding of Reliability Availability Maintainability (RAM) concepts
- Experience using MILIS or SAP
- Knowledge of Technical Publication Standards
- Previous experience working within complexed and collaborative team environments.
- The ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
- Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills
- Well-developed communication skills (written and verbal)
- Integrity and high personal ethical standards that align with QinetiQ standards
