We are currently seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Fleet Manager  to join our  (Major Service Provider) MSP division in Melbourne.

 

Our MSP Division, is part of a consortium of independent, technical partners, which include Nova Systems and PwC; supported by a range of specialist SMEs.  We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s military capability.  We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).  In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and equipment through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; we relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.  

 

About the Role

 

QinetiQ is one of only four Major Service Providers (MSP) to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).

 

The ILS Fleet Manager will work within a multidisciplinary team out of Victoria Barracks (Melbourne) as a valued member of the QinetiQ Operations and Delivery team, focused on the delivery of exceptional customer outcomes and support across a diverse range of capabilities for the entire Engineer Equipment Fleet in sustainment. These activities may include logistics planning, governance and assurance and commercial activities, leading to the delivery of state-of-the-art capability that supports our personnel in the field as well as ensuring that their capabilities transition into sustainment.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Act as liaison with external agencies to ensure the serviceability of Defence equipment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and standard operating procedures for the
    management of the fleet.
  • Establish close business and working relations with all relevant stakeholders to ensure the serviceability of the fleet.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and plans for the effective management of the fleet.
  • Mentor Program staff to improve their general fleet sustainment and project management knowledge as well as their
    brief writing.
  • Provide Logistic Engineering analysis.
  • Training and mentoring junior ILS professionals.
  • Writing ILS documentation for CASG Projects.
  • Deliver services to customers that enhance QinetiQ’s reputation as a trusted provider and partner.

 

Our ideal candidate will present with:

  • Previous ILS Fleet Management experience working within large value Defence projects.
  • Technical trade qualification.
  • Experience operating within a quality management system.
  • Previous experience working within complexed and collaborative team environments.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
  • Integrity and high personal ethical standards that align with QinetiQ standards
