We are currently looking for a Program/Project Scheduler to join our Land - Major Services Provider (MSP) team based in Melbourne.


Every day will see you providing project planning, coordinating &and scheduling services to ensure specific outcomes are achieved. You’ll be a natural organiser and thrive in a fast paced environment.

 

As a Scheduler, your responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining project and program schedules
  • Managing work breakdown structures and supporting data dictionaries
  • Completing periodic progress reports on schedule performance and project deliverables
  • Attending regular project meetings
  • Stakeholder liaison in support of project schedules
  • Scheduling training for client personnel as required

 

To be successful in the role of Scheduler you will need to bring with you:

  • Demonstrated scheduling experience, ideally using Open Plan Professional (OPP) or similar scheduling tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
  • Working knowledge of Defence project management processes
  • Good teamwork skills and the ability to work as part of a fast-moving project team in a dynamic and changing work environment
  • The confidence to be a self-starter

 

Whilst not essential, a working knowledge of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) policy and processes will be highly regarded.

 

Applicants will also need to hold an existing Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) security clearance of at least Baseline level. QinetiQ conducts pre-employment screening, including but not limited to identity verification and police checks for all preferred candidates

MSP Services

Our MSP (Major Service Provider) Program, is part of a consortium of independent, technical partners; supported by a range of specialist SMEs.  We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s military capability.  We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across the CASG.  In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and equipment through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; we relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.
