The Role
As a Principal Consultant, you will represent senior consulting leadership, focusing on driving capability growth and innovation while providing strategic direction to complex engagements and taking responsibility for developing team capabilities, contributing to business strategy, and ensuring consistent delivery excellence across their practice area.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll lead multiple project teams, develop new methodologies and build strategic customer relationships that drive business value, playing a crucial role in shaping the future direction of QinetiQ's consulting practice.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead multiple complex consulting engagements through intellectual leadership on project outcomes, including decision-making and conflict resolution
  • Drive capability development and innovation within the National Security Consulting team
  • Build strategic customer relationships in chosen practice area and effectively achieve customer buy-in for further initiatives
  • Contribute to business strategy within the National Security Consulting team

 

Essential experience of the Principal Consultant:

  • National Security and/or consulting experience as well as leadership/mentoring experience in Business Analysis, Business Change, Technical Consultancy, Product Development, Agile Delivery and Project and Programme Management
  • Experience contributing to the identification of requirements and development of new methods and tools address specific requirements
  • Experience leading research and analysis strategies and convert analysis into actionable insights that will lead to organisational success
  • Strong stakeholder management skills

This role is 37 hours per week based at London. Hybrid working patterns are available.
