Secured Navigation Opportunities

 

About these roles:

QinetiQ provides critical support to our customers in the delivery of Secured Navigation, which can be depended on when accurate positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) is mission-critical. Our specialist teams provide our clients with consultancy support, research and the development of services & security capabilities for the next generation of navigation systems. We are interested in hearing from candidates who are keen to develop their career in the design and implementation of Navigation Systems and interested in the technical delivery of innovative solutions.

Integrated Logistic Support Opportunities

 

About these roles:

As a Systems Engineer with a particular focus on Through Life Engineering, there will be a mixture of working with, or as a supplier to, the MOD. Supporting the Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Product Support Manager (PSM) in the delivery of planning and support arrangements relating to the technical elements of equipment support and logistics services. 

 

You will be the ILS point of contact for appropriate projects, ensuring relevant interface across stakeholders and will have the ability to engage with relevant stakeholders at various levels to support the delivery of ILS activities.  In addition, the role involves working with product development teams to ensure ILS elements are contained in the design. You will be required to develop, improve and adapt their approach to fit the requirements of the team and the business, with the ability to contribute to and produce relevant ILS documentation.

 

Desired Experience:

  • Experience designing through life support processes in support of product and service solutions
  • Ensuring that the assigned requirements are in line with the system Validation & Verification strategy.
  • Experience of recommending the tailoring of ILS activities to meet the requirements of a particular project.
  • Experience conducting a range of AR&M activities & spares modelling and produce related MTA, LORA, FMECA & RCM reports.
  • Knowledge of UK & international standards relating to ILS activities.
  • An ability to challenge design concepts and trade requirements, in order to optimise support.
  • In-depth knowledge of Def Stan 00-600, in-depth knowledge of Defence Logistics Framework (was JSP 886) and the product lifecycle including the CADMID cycle.

 

 

Communications & Information Systems Opportunities

 

About these roles:-

As a CIS Engineer, you will be working on varied and interesting projects with Government Customers to develop products designed to secure the UK’s borders, and provide solutions for National Security and Counter-Terrorism issues faced by the UK.  You will be working on Product Development Projects taking new or existing requirements and feeding them into the Product Development Lifecycle, supporting throughout the V&V phase of projects.

 
Desired Experience:

  • Experience working throughout the Product Development Lifecycle
  • Previous experience in System Engineering is preferable
  • Customer facing experience: able to listen, empathise and feedback
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant STEM subject
  • Understanding and analysing stakeholder needs and expectations to capture and manage their requirements for a capability.
