This appointment is for an experienced Project Manager in the Mission Systems Integrated Delivery Team, part of the QinetiQ’s Cyber & Information business. The Mission Systems IDT is an exciting, growing business which provides mission critical services to a range of customers, mostly within the UK Ministry of Defence. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the delivery of a range of complex projects and must be willing to undertake the DV clearance process.


Key Accountabilities:

• Development and maintenance of positive engagement with project customers, partners and suppliers.

• Delivery of the project outputs, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales).

• Ensuring project members operate in line with the Operating Framework & functional competency management requirements

• Resolving conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the project and collaborating across QinetiQ.

• Application of governance requirements (including lifecycle, project & independent reviews as appropriate)

• Reporting progress on all accountabilities to programme / portfolio manager (or their delegate).


Essential Criteria:

• Industry recognised project management qualification. i.e. APM / Prince2 or demonstrable equivalent experience

• Experience leading Technology/Engineering-based projects

• Demonstrable experience of full Lifecycle Project Management


Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

 - Knowledge of MOD project and procurement processes particularly EDP

 - Knowledge of C4ISR and or Air domain
